GRASP-X
GRASP-X (Gamma Ray Attenuation & Shielding Parameters-eXtended) is a web-based code that provides:
- Photon attenuation and shielding parameters, including mass attenuation coefficients (μm), effective atomic numbers (ZEff), and derived quantities such as the half-value layer (HVL), tenth-value layer (TVL), and mean free path (MFP).
- Photon buildup factor calculations for penetration depths of up to 100 mean free paths using the ANSI/ANS-6.4.3-1991 and Large-Scale Photon Buildup Factor (LSPBF) databases.
- Fast neutron removal cross section calculations.
To begin, click the Calculator button in the navigation menu. Additional information about the program, calculation methods, and references is available in the "Docs" page. The Monte Carlo runs and the tabulated databases are in "Reference Data".
